Ian Barrufet

Born in Teià on 19 May 2004, Ian Barrufet joined Barça’s youth ranks in 2016, starting out with U14B. Since then, he has progressed through the academy stages to reach the first team.

His debut with the senior squad came on 18 March 2023 in a Copa ASOBAL match against Cuenca. Since then, the son of legendary Barça goalkeeper David Barrufet has played 20 Liga ASOBAL matches, scoring 49 goals, and has also featured in the EHF Champions League with 2 games and 2 goals.

In the 2024/25 season, Barrufet was loaned to MT Melsungen to continue his development and gain experience at the highest European level.

In the 2025/26 season, he returned to Barça as a member of the first team squad.
