Djordje Cikusa

Born in Bordils, Catalonia on 8 December 2005, Djordje Cikusa joined Barça at youth level and has since worked his way through all the academy categories until making his debut with the first team.

His first appearance with the senior squad came on 12 November 2022, when he was still just 16, in a Liga ASOBAL match against Guadalajara. The ambidextrous back has since played 16 league games in Spain’s top competition and also made his debut in the EHF Champions League. In the 2024/25 season, Cikusa was loaned to Montpellier to continue his development and gain experience at the highest European level.

In the 2025/26 season, the back returns to Barça as a full member of the FC Barcelona first-team squad.

A player with great potential, Djordje Cikusa stands out for his versatility and ability to operate in different positions across the back line, particularly as a right back. Combining power, speed and skill in one-on-one situations, he also contributes a powerful shot and attacking versatility.
