Born in Sweden in 1993, Hampus Wanne joined in FC Barcelona in 2022 from SG Flensburg-Handewitt, his club for the previous nine seasons. Over that period he became a leader on the court and one of the team's leading scorers. He played for two Swedish sides prior to joining the German league, HK Aranas during 2011/12 and 2012/13, and Onneredes in 2013 before his transfer.
His honours pay testament to a career as an outstanding player. At club level he has two leagues, one German cup, and a Champions League in 2015. For Sweden, Wanne won gold at the 2022 European Championships, and a silver at the 2021 World Cup and 2018 European Championship respectively.
