Evbuomwan

Born in Newcastle, England, on 16 February 2001, Tosan Evbuomwan developed through the US college system with the Princeton Tigers. Between 2019 and 2023, he played 83 games across three seasons, showing clear offensive progression by increasing his scoring average from 4.1 points per game in his first season to 16.0 in his second and 15.2 in his third.

Following an outstanding college career, he made the jump to the NBA in 2023 with the Memphis Grizzlies before joining the Detroit Pistons. During his rookie season, he made 17 NBA appearances across the two franchises while also featuring in the G League, where he impressed with the Motor City Cruise, averaging 15.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

He subsequently spent time with the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks, continuing to divide his time between the NBA and the G League. With the Ontario Clippers, Long Island Nets, Westchester Knicks and Maine Celtics, he continued his development, averaging more than 17 points per game during each of those spells.

His final experience in the United States came with the Greensboro Swarm, where he averaged 17.4 points per game and led the team through an outstanding playoff campaign, also posting averages of 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. His performances earned him the G League Finals MVP award before making the move to European basketball by joining Barça for the 2026/27 season.

An athletic, high-energy and highly versatile power forward, Evbuomwan is capable of filling a variety of frontcourt roles. He excels in transition, attacks the basket with power and finishes effectively around the rim, while also posing a genuine threat from the perimeter. His physicality, mobility and rebounding ability make him a strong defensive presence and an excellent fit for a fast-paced, dynamic style of play.
