Sekulić

Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Sekulić began his his coaching career at different clubs in his home country, gaining extensive experience as assistant coach and head coach.

In the 2021/22 season, he took charge of Czechia team ERA Nymburk, taking them to a league title win. He then moved to Russia in 2022, coaching Lokomotiv Kuban for two seasons (2022-24). The 2025/26 season saw him take charge of Zenit Saint Petersburg, where he remained until he left for Dubai in April 2026.

With the team from the Emirates, Sekulić made his Euroleague debut as a coach in the regular season in a game against Valencia Basket. At club level he led Dubai to the ABA league title with victory over Partizan Belgrade in the play off final, his more recent success prior to his arrival at the Palau Blaugrana. 

The blaugrana coach is also the Slovenian national team coach, a role he has had since 2020. Sekulic helped the national team qualify for the Olympic Games for the first time in their history, when they reached in the semi-finals in Tokyo and finished in a commendable fourth position in summer 2021. He was also the assistant coach for his national team when they were crowned Eurobasket champions in 2017.
