Martin

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on 7 March 1999, Tyrese Martin first made his mark at high school level in his hometown. In his senior year, he averaged 21.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per game, was named Pennsylvania East Conference MVP and helped lead his team to the conference title. He then completed his college career at the University of Rhode Island (2018–20) and the University of Connecticut (2020–22).

Martin was selected with the 51st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors, who subsequently traded him to the Atlanta Hawks. During his rookie season, he split his time between the NBA and the G League.

He later spent time with the Iowa Wolves, the Minnesota Timberwolves' G League affiliate, before enjoying the most successful spell of his career with the Brooklyn Nets. Under head coach Jordi Fernández, he played 97 NBA games across two seasons and recorded a career-high 30 points, including eight three-pointers, against the Phoenix Suns in November 2024.

His final experience in the United States came with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he made nine NBA appearances. In the G League, he posted outstanding numbers with the Delaware Blue Coats, averaging 31 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. He now makes the move to European basketball by joining Barça for the 2026/27 season.

A versatile wing who puts his all-round game at the service of the team, Martin is a major threat from beyond the arc and has the physical tools to defend effectively while competing with great intensity on the boards. A talented player with the ability to contribute in a variety of ways, he adds depth and versatility to Barça's perimeter game.
