A midfielder schooled in the ways of the Barça style

Midfielder Jandro Orellana, 17, arrived at Barça in 2014 from Espanyol, although he had come up through Gavà. He adapted very quickly to the FC Barcelona system and won his first league title with the U-16B team. Later, he would celebrate many more titles, like with the U-16A, U-19B. and U-19A teams. He claimed the European Championship in Croatia with the Spanish U-17 team, but a hamstring injury suffered in the final against England led to surgery and forced him to miss time in the 2017/18 season. In spite of everything, he made it back in time to play the UEFA Youth League Final Four in Nyon, winning the title with the U-19A team.

In the 2018/19 season, he was part of the U-19 team despite the fact that he trained with Barça B during the week. He made his Barça B debut under Garcia Pimienta at the Miniestadi in a 1-1 draw with Ebro in week 11. Jandro then played in six more games with Barça B in a season in which he was also decisive in helping the U-19A team get to the Final Four of the UEFA Youth League, where they would fall to Chelsea in a semifinal shootout. He has a contract until June 30, 2021, extendable for two more years, and a buyout clause of €100m.
